Sorry for the short notice however we need to cancel yet another practice due to the flu taking down our coaches!!!!

We WILL have practice tomorrow Thursday 11/5 at Locke Avenue from 6-7pm.

Thank you all so much for you patience during the last 2 weeks while our squad has been terribly hit by this!!

Sophomore Coaches

Thanks to the girls who made it to the game today and braved that nasty weather even being sick.   We still have an overwhelming amount of girls sick.  Therefore, we will NOT have a practice on Monday.   It's pretty clear our team is heading for the championship and I'd really like to see the girls well for that!!

Our schedule will be:

Wednesday and Thursday 6-7:15 at Locke Ave.  Parents please dress the girls warmly.  Gloves are permitted at practice!!

Due to the weather conditions and the majority of the girls being sick, practice tonight is CANCELED.

Also, there has been a change in time to the game on Saturday.  The game is now at 10am.  Please be at the Penns Grove field no later than 9:30am.   If your daughter will NOT be at the game please let me know by tomorrow evening so we can reset formations!

Congrats to the Sophomore team for another great game on Sunday!  Following is our schedule for this week:

Wednesday Practice 6-7:15 LOCKE AVENUE PARK... please dress accordingly for the weather!

Thursday Game/Practice 6-7:30 HIDDEN ACRES.. this is our last home JV game.  FULL WINTER UNIFORM. 

Saturday Game  Away at Penns Grove.  Please arrive at 1:30pm in FULL WINTER UNIFORM. 

Parents, just a reminder if your daughter will not be at practice or a game you must notify me prior to the practice/game.  Attendance is mandatory at a minimum of 2 practices/week and at every game.

Just a reminder about practice tonight 6-7:30pm at Hidden Acres.  Please bring a jacket/sweatshirt for later when the sun goes down and it gets colder.

Tomorrow we will cheer IN FULL UNIFORM at our JV game at the home field (Hidden Acres). Please arrive by 6pm.

Saturday our game is at the home field.  Please be there in FULL UNIFORM by 2:15pm.   Remember, girls can wear red or black gloves with their uniform if they are cold.

Tomorrow night we will cheer/practice at our home field, Hidden Acres.   Please have the girls IN FULL WINTER UNIFORM (under armor shirt AND black leggings), hair in half up/half down high ponytail with bow,  black or red gloves are acceptable.  We will cheer, weather permitting, the first half of the JV game, then head inside the field house to practice for the remainder of the evening.

Due to the Columbus Day Holiday there is NO PRACTICE TONIGHT Monday 10/12.   Practices for this week are as follows:

Tuesday 6-730pm

Wednesday 6-7:30pm

Thursday 6-7:30pm (mandatory practice IF your daughter is participating in Half Time Activities)

Please let me know if your daughter cannot make practice.  Also, now that it is getting colder please dress the girls in layers. Layers keep them warmer and are much easier for cheer/dance/stunting then one big bulky jacket or sweatshirt.

Due to school starting practices will be 6pm - 7:30pm.  We will continue to practice Mon/Wed/Thur at the Lake Ave Park Field.  Please note that practices are now held back by the storage trailers for the safety of the girls.   ALL parents are to part BEHIND the metal poles and WALK down to the practice site.

Also:

If you need to exchange sizes for any uniform part you MUST see Lisa Bruno.  The FINAL handout will be on Friday evening.

It is getting colder, please be sure to send your daughter with a sweatshirt (no hoods) or long sleeve shirt.

PICTURES: Saturday 9/12 at 9am at the Hidden Acres Field.  FULL UNIFORM.. hair is to be in a HIGH PONY TAIL.

REMINDER:  Uniform fitting/distribution is this evening at the Field House in EAST GREENWICH.  Please have your daughter with you so she can be sized properly.

MANDATORY SOPHOMORE CHEER PARENT MEETING:   Wednesday September 2nd, 5:45 at practice field.  Please bring with you  your calendar (to sign up for work duties at games) and any items you have for our MOVIE NIGHT Theme basket.

There will be NO practice this Thursday September 3rd due to a school function for the S/W kids. 

Following is our practice schedule for NEXT WEEK ONLY  due to the holiday. 

TUESDAY 6-8PM

THURSDAY 6-8PM

Parents,  cheerleading is a physical sport.  Please encourage your daughter at home to practice her cheers, stretching exercises and strength exercises she is being taught at each practice.   Also remind her that we RUN before and during practice.  Sneakers and hair in a high pony tail is a requirement as is the practice uniform.  This makes it easier for the girls to run, jump, stunt as well as cheer.  

Any questions please let the coaches know before or after practice!! The girls are doing great!!!!

Just a few reminders:

ALL practices are now 6-8pm according to the organization guidelines

Be sure girls have hair in high pony tail, wear CHEER or other supportive sneakers, have bug spray, towel and water.

We will begin to learn the Hello Cheer this week and some stunting.  You are welcome to videotape practices if you'd like to have the cheers and motions for home practice!

Thank you all for a terrific first practice!!  Just a reminder that this week practice will be held Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evening from 6-8:30pm at the Locke Avenue Park.  Please use the second entrance for easier access to the practice field.

A few reminders:

1. There is a mandatory parent meeting on Monday August 10th at 7:00PM for all football and cheerleading parents.

2.
Practice Uniforms were distirbuted on Wednesday August 5th; they are to
be worn at every practice for the rest of the season. If you did not
get yours, please see Lisa Bruno when you come to practice.  If you would like an extra practice uniform speak with Lisa about the possibility of purchasing one.

3.
Please bring a water bottle, bug spray, and towel to practice. Also,
make sure that no jewelry is worn to practice and hair is pulled back
in a secure pony tail. CHEER SNEAKERS only are to be worn.
